As always there was plenty of fun to be had at Shanlieve over the Easter holidays. Bright and early Saturday morning the kids were out and about ready for Elmo & friends from Bounce About to arrive, there was plenty of excitement as Elmo choose the best Easter masks and colouring sheets from 3 age categories, all the craft packs and colouring sheets had been given out previously with every thing needed to make a creative masterpiece. Traditional egg and spoon races were held with Elmo and the Minion racing against each other as well as against the children, lots of prizes were given out and the kids were “egged” on by their parents and friends. Finally we had our treasure hunt, Aaron and James ran about like headless chickens hiding hundreds of chocolate and plastic eggs under caravans, in nests, around the swings and in every nook and cranny they could find before issuing the families with park maps to set off and recover as many eggs as possible in 45 minutes. As well as finding all the treats, eggs with letters written on were hidden throughout the park too and families had to gather in as many as possible to put them together and try and guess the sentence “We Love Shanlieve”. At the end of the adventure all the children went home with a selection of chocolate eggs, sweets, toys and large chocolate golden bunnies for all the winners.

On Monday we had a selection of inflatables and face painting as well as a toddler indoor play trailer for all the children to come along and enjoy. The fantastic weather had all the children out and about and having a great time, many families packed a picnic and mums and dads spent the day on the green relaxing while the kids exhausted themselves, everyone went home tired but happy.

We would like to thank everyone that helped out with the Easter Egg hunt as well as everyone that came along to join in the fun, Bounce About for the fantastic entertainment on Saturday and of course Tumble N Fun for all the inflatables on Monday, as always a professional but fun service was provided by both companies.
